Helping Haiti
My mother is a retired school teacher living in Florida, but she’s been a seamstress for most of her life. She recently volunteered her time making 20 durable pattern outfits for at-risk children living in Haiti. My mom finally got word that the kids received their new clothes. The charity organization even sent along the photos you see above. :)
I was rather moved by all of this and have recently started volunteering my own spare time for a worthy cause. But that’s best left for another post.
